4x4x48 For Mental Health

I am participating in a health challenge to raise funds and awareness for mental health and have partnered with the Canadian Mental Health Association - Calgary (CMHA Calgary).

I will be running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours in a challenge called the 4x4x48. This Challenge is going on, and on March 4th, 2022, at 8 pm, people from all over the world on social media will be raising money for different charities. I have chosen to raise funds for CMHA Calgary because I have struggled with intense anxiety and drug and alcohol addiction. Members of my family struggle and have struggled with mental health. I've lost people close to me from suicide, eating disorders, and drug and alcohol abuse.

My ultimate goal, first and foremost, is to raise awareness and help alter the perception or ideals many have of people who struggle with mental illness. I personally will strive to raise $10,000 for CMHA Calgary, and I invite you to join me in this 4x4x48 Challenge to raise money and awareness for mental health.

CMHA – Calgary Region builds awareness and provides education and support for individuals and families living with mental illness, addiction, or a loss by suicide. We work closely with other community organizations to bridge gaps in the mental health care system and facilitate access to important services and resources.
