Iron Legs for Charity
Please visit skilouise.com/events to register for this event so you can stay up to date with the changes & info. Iron Legs for Charity is a ski-a-thon event taking place on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Lake Louise Ski Resort. All ages are welcome. This is a charity event where participants who sign up will be raising funds for Canadian Mental Health Association - Calgary Region. Before the event, participants will ask for pledges from friends, family, coworkers. They will be encouraged to raise a minimum of $100 in pledges. Their end challenge will be to ski or snowboard down from the Summit Platter from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, testing their physical ability as well as their mental stamina! Participants can sign up as a soloist, or as a relay team of 2 – 4 people. Their goal is to complete at least 15 laps in that time period. If they want to really push themselves, they can go for more. The individual and the team with the most laps will be crowned with the coveted Iron Legs Trophy. We are also hoping Lake Louise Ski Resort will match their amount of pledges to be donated to CMHA Calgary (plus we may have some prizing for the winners!). Who's got the strongest legs? Who will get the most laps in that time? This is the ultimate test of physical & mental stamina! Raise funds, ski your heart out, feel the glory! After, join us for après-ski and awards to celebrate everyone's accomplishments! Prizes for each category who complete the most laps in that time and for those who raised the most money.
