BAC Hockey is proud to host August 12-15, and 19-22 a Jr. Prep Camp for hockey players in the Calgary area that will be attending junior camps in the following weeks. The prep camp will consist of a series of cross ice small area games for players.
Our hope for the camp is to work with players, and ensure they are prepared for camps they are attending in the following weeks.
In our hockey community, the stigma of mental illness is alive, and very present. So, BAC Hockey is hopeful by joining forces with the Canadian Mental Health Association – Calgary Region we can do our part to help normalize hockey, and mental illness just a little bit more. Let players know it’s ok, and they are not alone in their journey. I am hopeful this partnership will provide players an opportunity to just gather further awareness on the resources that are available to help them if they ever need.
Through our player registration, BAC Hockey will donate 5% of the proceeds back to CMHA Calgary for further mental health initiatives.
