Each year 1.6 million Canadians report unmet mental health care needs, and the demand for services has escalated due to the pandemic. The mental health effects of COVID-19—including anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, substance use—will last long after the pandemic has subsided.
Join us for a conversation between Sara Jordan, Executive Director of Canadian Mental Health Association - Calgary Region, Robyn Romano, Chief Executive Officer of Distress Centre Calgary, Vanessa McConnell, Director, Family Mental Health & Social Inclusion of Catholic Family Service, Hyder Hassan, Chief Executive Officer of Immigrant Services Calgary, and Karen Young, President and CEO of United Way of Calgary and Area, as they discuss navigating the mental health sector within Calgary and surrounding areas, the challenges, solutions, and expectations of those accessing services.
